The completely remodeled US Bank Tower building in Downtown has just added a new restaurant tenant: LiOrient Asian Bar & Restaurant.

Back in 2015, a restaurant group took control over a space that previously belonged to McCormick & Schmick’s inside the US Bank Tower. They sat on it for years, hoping to eventually drop in a restaurant with a Cantonese look and feel under the name Monkee, but over time those dreams faded away. So now there’s LiOrient, an even more casual and drinks-focused restaurant doing lunch and happy hour, with dinner coming soon.

LiOrient’s daytime menu reads like a catch-all of Chinese options, from scallion pancakes and eggrolls to noodles, dumplings, fried rice, and mains like black pepper filet mignon. There’s a section dedicated to various duck preparations as well, including a $46 whole Peking Duck, traditionally served thin with crispy skin and pancakes for wrapping it all up. There’s a full bar available for happy hour, too.

LiOrient lands on the 4th floor of the US Bank Tower, and is now keeping hours from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Saturday, with a transition to happy hour from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Dinner is slated to be added down the line.
